Harrison is the UK agent for the German blade manufacturer, Wikus, and stocks the widest range of bandsaw blades available in the UK today. Wikus M42 Marathon - hardness 68-69 Rockwell C. The Marathon combines a high cobalt and molybdenum M42 alloy with a special high tensile backing material with 4% chrome exclusively developed by WIKUS. This blade is particularly suited to heavy production conditions and difficult to cut materials. Unless otherwise stated, this is the blade quality offered to our online customers.
Wikus M42 Ecoflex - high cobalt M42 alloy with standard grade backing material - suitable for normal cutting conditions and specified where price is of the utmost importance. Available online in 27mm & 34mm widths only.
Harrison offer you several methods for identifying the blade you need. Choose the method that suits you best:
If you know the exact specification of the blade you require,
simply enter the length, width and thickness in millimeters. (If you prefer to
work with imperial measurements, use our simple imperial to metric converter by
following the link given. The instructions will help you convert your
measurements and automatically enter them in the blade specification entry
fields).
Alternatively,
if you don't know the blade specification but you can identify the saw machine
Manufacturer and Machine model, use the link to our Machine Search facility.
Follow the simple instructions to identify your machine and automatically enter
it's blade specification into the length, width and thickness fields. It must be
noted that the Machine Search facility offers a guide specification only - due
to differences in machine setup, your exact requirement may be slightly
different.
Account holding customers may assign 'Familiar Names' to blades that they order on a regular basis. Once logged-in these customers may request blades again and again, by using the 'Familiar Names' dropdown box. Familiar Names may be assigned when an order has been taken to the online checkout stage.
Once the blade length, width and thickness have been entered, choose a
toothpitch from the dropdown list. Please note that all blades are offered in
the Wikus M42 Marathon quality except where shown. After choosing a toothpitch,
press the 'select blade' button to be given the opportunity to add the desired
quantity of the selected blade to your shopping basket. Enter the required
quantity and press 'Add to Basket' to do this. You may remove items from your
shopping basket or change the ordered quantity at any time. Note: There is a
required minimum order quantity of six blades, these may be mixed and do not
need to be of the same blade type.
